idiveI could swear I have seen pics of this car on here in the past year. No reserve on this sale and says car is in Spain, I believe. One line says its red, and just below that, Orange Pearlcoat. Looks like a Candy to me. There was no 2002 orange, or 2002 red made. Another scam we need to jump on? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3138&item=4163879863&rd=1
tangled up in BLUEthe car looks very familiar to me also......appears to be at a Chrysler dealership in Florida, or where there are palm trees.....not sure if Spain has Chrysler dealers or palm trees....
cnote6Yes, the car has been on ebay before and was in AZ.

Austrian ProwlerPics are definitely not from Spain. Also the Pacifica in the background is not Imported to Europe by Chrysler Europe.
I have seen this Candy also on eBay before and it was in Arizona.
CatwomanIsn't this the car that Brat just bought a few weeks ago??? She had been waiting anxiously and was thrilled when it arrived in the PAC NW...she shared pics with us in the chat room!

cw

Bob GoetzIt sure is Brats car, maybe I should call her today.

GUBIf someone goes to the trouble of blocking the license plate by whiting it out, looks very suspicious to me....
prowlrmanFellow POA members...I know exactly where the photos were taken that are posted on the ebay ad! Those pictures were taken in front of Bill Luke Chrysler on Camelback road in Phoenix. I know it because I saw this car (same photos) on the original ebay auction a few months back and thought the flames looked interesting. When I checked out the location and found out it was at Bill Luke, I actually drove up to see the car cause I wanted to check out the flame job. (Very nicely done!!!) They had it parked in the same location the photos were taken. It is a Candy Red Prowler. This must have been around the end of January I think, when I looked at the car. So unless whoever bought it, had it shipped directly to Spain, I would agree that you have discovered another "fraud" on ebay. There is no doubt in my mind this is the same car I saw! I see XPGuy is the current highest (and only) bidder, and I think you should retract your bid!
xpguyI have voluntarily bid and sent emails and will continue to do so on suspected frauds. After 20 years in certain aspects of law enforcement, I have many contacts and enjoy investigating frauds. My current profession involves tracking credit card fraud. And the downside if any of these turn out to be legitimate auctions, I pick up a second Prowler!
prowlrmanI didn't know that...and commend you on your efforts to stop things such as this!!! and...maybe you will get a great deal one day, as a side benefit...if you find a great deal and need an investment partner...let me know!!!
BratGPGHeeeyyyy! I've seen that car before! Wait a sec.... (sound of footsteps, door opens and closes, returning footsteps)...YEP! Its still in my garage!

&$%#@ the nerve of some people!!! C'mon xp, its worth more than 1k!!! Lets bid this item up people!!!!

I have reported it to ebay. Thanks to idive for posting the link (I dont generally vist that cat-egory). Thanks to Real Rod for 'rudely awakening' me (generally that gets that person way more than a heartfelt thanks!).

You guys are the BESTEST!!!

B!

xpguyHey Brat, my max bid is a lot higher than $1K. Of course you are going to have to put a front plate on it before you ship it to San Diego. Got a spot in my garage just begging for another toy! Boy I am sure glad I do not have to wait for shipping from Spain!!!!

This will be pulled by nightfall. I still have the one from Italy in the works and have a contact in Vimercate contacting local authorities to see about trying to catch the perp there. Will keep posted if we can work something out. I also watch the Yahoo auctions, but eBay is more fun.

BratGPGDid I mention it has way more miles on it now?

Front plate? No way.

If you're the winning bidder I could probably drive it down there over a long week-end...

kat hunterWell Ebay finally got around to pulling this one also.
BratGPGFinally! Anyone know what the record is for a car being used as scam bait?

I cant believe it was only up to $10,100.

Fairly common for folks to do. Identity theft can be accomplished with the plate no in some states.
